She has explored in the past, colours found in nature and the natural elements and likes how they can evoke different emotions for the individual viewer, Hopefully reminding us of the power of nature which is both beautiful and dramatic and should be respected.  Over the years, Mel has become popular for her portraits where she tries to fuse the colours of peoples personalities and characters in the image.
